Suomen Hoitolatukku Oy is an importer and supplier of cosmetic products and equipment within Finland. According to our main principle we sell everything a beautician and a podologist need in their work. We are leaders in beauty and footcare business in Finland. Our family company is successfully growing year after year. Today 25 employees work among four family members. Our customer segments have increased and our product selection is also constantly growing.

We are proud to deliver the best brands and to be able to deliver high quality products to professionals. In addition to our own import we distribute products for other companies. At the moment we supply products from 17 other companies, due to our well developed logistics.

Main Customers

Although our customer segments have increased, the biggest segment still consists of Finnish beauticians, podologists and hairderssers. We also deliver to hospitals and healthcare centers.

History

LIC was a swedish government owned company who took care of the all purchasing activities for swedish hospitals. This company bought the smaller Radings Ortopediska Ab which was owned by Dagmar Rading, a pioneer in scandinavian podiatry in 1950`s. LICs goal was to create a Scandinavian network in selling podiatry products. Then the Suomen Jalkahoitotarvike Oy now Suomen Hoitolatukku Oy - was the first Finnish co-operation partner in Finland. The first invoice was written in May 1985 and Mrs.Helena Kujala was the sole employee of the company.

In the beginning the company concentrated strictly on podiatry products. Our motto was "500 products below the ankle". The business was growing rapidly, however, and the product range grew to equipment, accessories, special creams, disinfectants and disposable products.

In 1989 our company moved from the center of Turku to Vahto, which is a small but vivid village with 1850 inhabitants about 20 kilometers north-east from Turku. A warehouse of 380 m was built, which soon became too small for us. Therefore we built a new space of 780 m next to the old one. This complex is also becoming tight and that is why we are currently building a new 2500 m warehouse right next door.

Since july 2000 the company`s official new name is Suomen Hoitolatukku Oy.
